I finally finished all of the domains on the 4th Grade Math Interactive Notebooks that are full of 82 easy to use flippables (courtesy of 4mulafun's templates!)
And here they are:
I love these flippables for TWO main reasons:
- They are INCREDIBLY student friendly and take minimal time to prep. My kids have gotten so efficient with cutting out these templates that it is unbelievable. The templates are set up so the kids know exactly where to cut, fold and glue! And the cutting and glueing is so minimal that you can really focus on the content and not the prep. *Again, thanks to 4mulafun's amazing templates!*
- They are student driven and so easy to differentiate. The students do all the reasoning and work! We do some note-taking and an example together and then let them go with the rest.
I have been in love with interactive notebook elements for awhile now. However, to be honest, I couldn't find a way to do them in such a way that admin would not think we are simply cutting and gluing. These templates were made in such a way that the prep is minimal and the student work is the focus. Here is an example from the Fraction set. The class works together to create a kid friendly definition of equivalent fractions. Then you could do one or two examples as a class. Then, let the students show you what they know by completing the rest.
I know my students (and me) are loving these this year! I can't wait to keep using them and to add more templates to our collection!

Are you using Interactive Notebooks elements this year? If so, I would love to hear how it is going!
